Dublin Free Walking Tour

Our tour with Original Dublin Tours was the highlight of the trip! Our tour guide was Dave and his tour was lovely - it was filled with important historical context, fun interesting facts and useful tips, it felt like talking about dublin with a friend!

I can't recommend these tours enough!

Dave was truly amazing! We could totally feel his passion in this magnificent walking tour around Dublin! He covers all kind of subjects from politics, history and cool tips for first time visitors. His jokes were very funny! Good luck budy! 👍

We had 2 different tours in one day. One was the Folklore/Mythology tour with Emily and the other was the historical tour with Barry.

Both great at storytelling and explaining what we needed to know. Enjoyable and informative!

I joined the pub crawl tour on a Monday in Dublin and it was fantastic. Both our guide, Ben, who kept the mood light and was super friendly, as well as the bars and live musicians there were great. It's also fun even if you don't know anyone beforehand!

Deirdre was an amazing and warm guide! The tour was really fun and interesting, with a lot of stories and personal twists. Highly recommend following this tour at the beginning of your trip to Dublin. Ps: ask her to sing sweet molly malone, she has a great voicel

James was an excellent tour guide. He had an incredible amount of knowledge and really brought the city to life with his humour and stories. Can’t recommend this tour enough and hopefully you’re lucky enough to get James!

Most fun I’ve had on a crawl despite not knowing anybody and best way to see the city. This crawl was the best. Guides were absolutely awesome. Organizers also put a lot of effort into making the discounts and drinks an incredible deal.

Haunted Dublin tour is definitely worth doing. Lived in Dublin my whole life but never realized there is so much history in this city that I hadn’t heard. Deirdre is a great guide. She shared humorous story’s that blend well with the dark history of Dublin.

I did the ghost tour of Dublin with Ross and absolutely loved it. I learnt so much and got to see so many interesting parts of the city. It was great having a local guide who could answer all my random questions along the way. You could really tell he was passionate about the history and the spooky stories behind it all. Even though we didn’t spot any ghosts that evening, I still had an absolute blast. A real highlight of my trip to Ireland! 👻✨

We had an incredible experience on this walking tour with Dan. He was extremely informative and engaging, and we walked away with so much to think about and discuss; some insights about the world and the country, and others that connected more personally to our own family heritage and history. It was the kind of tour that stays with you well after it ends.

We would absolutely do this exact tour again, it was that good. One note for guests, everything is outdoors, so dress accordingly! We would've enjoyed stepping inside a few locations, like a church, but we understand that the nature and flow of the tour didn't really allow for that. Dan did give great recommendations for where to go after the tour!

Dave was an absolutely incredible guide and truly made this tour unforgettable. Despite the extreme cold, he kept the entire group engaged, laughing, and genuinely enjoying every moment. His storytelling was hilarious, insightful, and full of personality.

What really set Dave apart was how personal and thoughtful he was. He shared amazing recommendations that went far beyond the usual tourist spots, including local food, pubs, and hidden gems I never would have found on my own. On top of that, he even noticed I was starting to catch a cold and took the time to recommend specific pharmacy items that actually helped. Above and beyond anything you’d expect from a tour guide.

You can tell Dave truly cares about people and loves what he does. The tour felt more like walking around Dublin with a very funny, very knowledgeable local friend than being on a “tour.”

Also worth mentioning: if you don’t have cash, you can tip Dave by card — just ask him at the end, which made it super easy and convenient.

Could not recommend this tour or Dave more. If you’re lucky enough to get him as your guide, you’re in for an amazing experience. 👏🍀

Our guide James was terrific.

I’m a Dubliner and joining a tour of your own city can be interesting. You can quickly tell if someone knows what they’re talking about.

James was really informative and it helped me clear up many of the bits of history I’d from school.

But he was also very very funny. I highly recommend getting on a tour with James if you can.

Touring Dublin with Deirdre was a real highlight. As a native Dubliner, she knows the city inside out and made the tour both fun and fascinating. Lots of great insider tips — absolutely recommended!

I did the mythology and folklore walking tour tonight as a solo traveler and had a fantastic time learning about some of the stories and history of Ireland. The guide, Emily, ensured we remained entertained while we strolled through some of the city center. The walk was not long or strenuous as there were several stops throughout the tour, and I am so glad to know about the Salmon of Knowledge! Would absolutely recommend taking this tour!

We had Keith (Dan for the day) as our tour guide around Dublin. He provided a great experience with his humor and breadth of knowledge of the city. We really enjoyed his tour style which was super engaging, encouraging questions from everyone at any point as well as chatting with everyone between stopping points. The information he was able to give on the history of Dublin and its contemporary side brought past and present to life for the whole 3 hours. We would really recommend this tour if you want to get a feel for Dublin and its history as well as getting some great recommendations for places to add to your visit. Go raibh maith agat!

We covered many of the city's iconic landmarks—Trinity College, Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, and more—but what really stood out were the lesser-known spots and hidden gems we would’ve easily missed on our own. Along the way, we learned fascinating insights about Dublin’s literary heritage, political history, and cultural traditions.
The pace was perfect, and the group size was just right—not too big, so it still felt personal and interactive. Our guide Dave was happy to answer questions, offer local recommendations, and even suggested great spots for food and music after the tour. The team is incredibly nice and friendly, a friend and I had to cancel due to a hospital emergency and they were completely understanding. Many friends of mine have done this pub crawl and loved it aswell. Definitely recommend when in Dublin!

Amazing. Even though you can go there by yourself but joining the pub crawl and meeting others make it so much different.

The host was generous and kept checking on us to make sure everyone was having a good time.

It is incredibly a great deal if I think of it was just €14. And not like other pub crawl in some countries, they take you to good ones.

We joined a ghost tour that lasted about 2.2 hours, and it was such a fun experience. The atmosphere was great, and our guide told the stories in a really entertaining way. The tour takes you past some interesting locations, and the host combines spooky tales with lots of humor, which makes it very engaging and easy to follow. Definitely a fun activity if you’re looking for something different!

Amazing way to jump start our destination wedding weekend!!

Keith did an amazing job of sharing the history and sights of Dublin. We even got to hear him sing an Irish tune. Well worth the 3 hour tour to give you a feel for where everything is located in Dublin. Great way to start your visit to Dublin. We had the luck of the Irish with us to have Keith as our tour guide.

We had a lovely tour of Dublin with Keith. He had a delightful manner and was very knowledgeable about the Dublin’s and Ireland’s history. And he sang for us towards the end although he could use a voice coach (just kidding). Would recommend.

Dave was great! Very engaging, great storyteller, and interacted with my 9year old. We enjoyed the hearing about all the myths and legends and can’t wait to share some of the stories with our friends back home.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the “Dark Tour of Haunted Dublin” with our amazing guide Deirdre. She brought the spooky side of Dublin to life with her incredible storytelling, humor and deep knowledge of the city’s eerie history. Deirdre managed to strike the perfect balance between spine chilling tales and fun, making the whole experience truly unforgettable.

My wife Nicol and I were completely captivated from start to finish. We laughed, we gasped and we learned so much. Deirdre’s passion and energy made the whole tour feel like a walk through Dublin’s shadowy past with an old friend.

I did a walking tour of Dublin city centre with Karl today and it was amazing!! I had a great time and learned so much all while enjoying myself and having a laugh.
History is not my favourite subject but Karl made it all very interesting with his lighthearted storytelling.Go raibh míle maith agat!
